5 Spots To Visit In Costa Rica Post COVID-19

What a year this has been, right? We still remember when it was December 31st 2019 and we were all wondering, what will 2021 bring to us?

Nobody can say that they expected anything that has happened, and if you're anything like us, what you missed the most this year was traveling. The routine of getting the bags, picking our clothes and putting it all together while we danced to my favorite hits cannot be forgotten.

Good news is, it looks like it's coming to an end, and there is a light on the other side of the tunnel. We want you to be ready to pack your bags again and that's why Opala For All selected 5 Spots To Visit In Costa Rica Post COVID.

1. Puerto Viejo

We can't start our list without naming Puerto Viejo, one of Costa Rica's most visited spots because of the chill, relaxed vibes it has from the people who live there, to those who visit.

If you're looking to straight up relax, swing on a hammock, look at sloths and ride a banana bike to the beach, this is the perfect place for you. There are countless entrances to different areas of the beach, also other beaches like Manzanillo or Punta Uva are within 20 driving minutes.

2. Monteverde

Not a beach person? We got you. Monteverde literally translates to "Green Mount", and trust us, that is all you're going to see. This beautiful spot is located at the southern part of Costa Rica and you can take all sorts of hikes and tours to explore the different parts of it.

From wild animals to waterfalls, without forgetting about the great food, if you're an adventurous person, we know this is the right spot for you. We do warn you, expect rainy days and nights if you decide to go there.

Interested? We got you, tours in Monteverde can be found by clicking here.

3. Cerro Pelado

Cerro Pelado

Talk about a different landscape. Cerro Pelado is located in the Northern area of Costa Rica, at Guanacaste. If you genuinely enjoy long hikes and be rewarded at the end with a beautiful view, this is just for you.

Be warned, winds can get really fast and we want to say it again, it is a LONG hike, so be ready. Take your snacks and all the resources you want because you're looking at hours of hiking.

You can find information about tours at Cerro Pelado here.

4. Nauyaca

Nuyaca, Costa Rica

From the Northern side, all the way to the Southern Side of Costa Rica, the Nauyaca Waterfalls have been ranked as some of the best in the world.

Located just 20 minutes away from Dominical, Puntarenas, these waterfalls will not disappoint in giving you a great experience. There are tours of course, you can spend your day there and eat great local food nearby, it's truly a place you'd want to visit.

If you happen to be interested in visiting the waterfalls, you can do so by visiting their official website.

5. Playa Conchal

Playa Conchal, Guanacaste

Let's go back to Guanacaste, we didn't speak too much about this place but it deserves the mention. In this province we specifically added Playa Conchal, however, along the entire coast you can find beautiful beaches like Tamarindo, Flamingo, Playa Grande, Avellanas, and much, much more.

If you want a more active beach visit, maybe you want to party and go out at night, Guanacaste is our recommendation for you. Playa Tamarindo is known in Costa Rica for having incredible New Year's parties and the overall experience is very wild.

 With all that being said...

There are countless experiences to live here in Costa Rica, as you saw, we have different vibes for different people, so we want to welcome you into finding out what's your best type of adventure.
